About Us
Why “A Heart’s Journey”?
Proverbs 4:23: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
We believe that life is a journey, and as Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, that out of the heart are the issues of life. That is why we named our group “A Heart’s Journey”.
Through our songs, we hope to encourage you to guard your heart and follow God’s will as you navigate life’s journey. Additionally, the name reflects a personal touch: the first letters of “A Heart’s Journey”—A.H.J.—represent our names: “Anika, Hannah, and Jillian”.
A HEART'S JOURNEY
Hannah
Hannah is the cousin of sisters Anika and Jillian. She is currently attending college but continues to serve in various church ministries and volunteers at BFBC's Christian school as a music director. In addition to her responsibilities, she assists the pastor’s wife with administrative duties, teaches Sunday School, helps with the children’s King’s Club on Wednesday nights, and occasionally fills in at the nursery. Hannah came to know the Lord personally as her Savior during a youth conference where the gospel was preached. Her parents, who attended as chaperones, brought her along, not knowing how deeply the message would touch her heart. Since then, Hannah has grown in her faith, continues to love Jesus, and is a role model and loving cousin.
Anika
Anika, the older sister of Jillian, is currently in high school. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, she actively serves in the church as a nursery worker and as a member of the church orchestra and choir. With her mother’s gentle encouragement, Anika began playing the violin at the age of two. With the additional support of her grandparents, she has also started learning piano. On her own, she has taught herself the ukulele and is now interested in learning the mandolin and guitar. Anika came to know Jesus as her Savior at a youth conference. God used her love for music to convict her of her need for salvation. One particular song about knowing the day of salvation moved her, as she realized she had not yet been saved. During the altar call after the preaching, she repented of her sins and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Anika plans to continue following God’s will for her life even after high school.
Jillian
Jillian is the youngest in the group. Although the first few months of her life was spent in and out of the children’s hospital, God’s hand was evident in her life. The song “God Will Take Care of You” is a testimony of how God took care of her. Today, all that’s left of the early struggles with her health, is the memory that God loves her. She loves to sing and make up songs. Because she is the youngest in the group, she adores and learns from her older sister and cousin. Young Jillian has professed faith in Jesus, when her mother told her a Bible bedtime story. Jillian also known as Jillie by her friends continues to show interest in music and the Bible.

Legacy Of Faith
Our debut album, “Legacy of Faith”, was inspired by the 50th-anniversary celebration of the church our pastor founded.
Each song in this collection reflects the enduring influence and great impact of the decision to serve God faithfully for the past 50 years.
This legacy of faith has inspired countless lives, and it is our prayer that through this album, Christians will be reminded to continue building and preserving this legacy until the Lord returns.
